What is X?

Twitter, now better known as X, is a social media platform that has millions of monthly users. On X, people can post messages known as posts. The platform is mostly used by businesses, influencers, and public figures. They mainly use it to promote their business or network. Since Elon Musk bought it in 2022, users could pay for the blue checkmark. This was previously only given to users with a certain number of followers and status.

The change from Twitter to X

Twitter was officially rebranded to X in July 2023 by Elon Musk. It made the platform more than just a social media platform because of its added features like paid advertising, AI, and more content options.

The iconic bird logo was replaced with the X logo, and “tweets” became “posts”. The platform is no longer just a social media platform. It will continue to grow with more monetization options, long-form content, and other business features.

How to grow your X profile?

Growing on X has not changed much since the rebranding. Posting high-quality content and engaging with your community is always a good start to grow your profile. Using relevant hashtags, replying to other popular posts, and collaborating with creators in the same niche will also help you grow your following.

If you are stuck on a following count, try something different. You can, for example, experiment with different formats such as images, videos, polls, or Q&A’s to see what works best.

Of course, interacting with your community is important as well. Reply to their comments or start a conversation with them. This will help you build a loyal community, which can lead to a bigger audience.
