Klout Score
The Klout Score was a numerical rating from 1 to 100 that measured a user’s social media influence based on their activity and engagement across platforms like Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram. A higher score meant greater online influence, with factors like likes, shares, comments, and follower count all contributing to the final number.
Once popular among marketers and influencers, the Klout Score was used to identify key voices and evaluate digital impact. However, the platform was officially shut down in 2018. While no longer active, the Klout Score helped shape how we think about influence and social media analytics today.
